Yogita Bihani is quite happy with the decision of taking her debut Sony show, Dil Hi Toh Hai, off air from TV and continuing it only online (Alt Balaji).

“Bottom line – our popular show is not ending; those who want to watch will come online.” This love story, also featuring Karan Kundra, will bid good bye to TV at month end.

“In a way I am glad, for now we will be free of the pressure of bringing in TV drama and can therefore make the story more focussed and give it a proper ending.”

She refuses to give out more details regarding the different post-leap story, which will only be digital. “Why don’t you watch out for it?” Interestingly, this would be the second leap on the show.

Here, she also was not fully sure if the Balaji Telefilms series, which is now telecast on a daily basis, will change telecast format on standalone web. “I think we will continue to be a daily, but am not too sure.”

“I am really excited about shooting for the digital part for we also will not be bound by TV restrictions.”  So will the narrative really get bold? “If there is need for physicality as required by the scene, it will be brought but we did not go digital only to have the same.”

She has no qualms about her series going off air from the tube so soon.  “Sony has its own issues. Having said that, I have enjoyed playing this character and will be open for more interesting TV characters as and when they do come my way.”

We wish her well.
