Popular actor Iqbal Khan, who was recently seen in Star Bharat’s latest offering Kaal Bhairav Rahasya, says that the makers enjoy creative freedom on digital platforms because there is no limitation on the content.

Says Iqbal, “Digital platforms are like a cherry on the cake for a TV actor. I am happy that something like this has been introduced. The kind of content that is happening on TV, I don’t know how soon I will be back on TV. However, when it comes to web, there is no limitation on the content; so there is more creative freedom.”

Talking about his favourite web-series, he avers, “I have seen very few web-series. I liked ALTBalaji’s Romil and Jugal and Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat. I found them very interesting.”

Iqbal played the role of the reporter Indra in the Star Bharat show, who eventually lost his life in the temple looking to decipher the hidden secrets of the temple. The story will move ahead with Indra’s brother (Rahul Sharma) getting in to find the truth about his brother’s demise.

Ask him what prompted him to take this small yet important role and he quips, “The creator of the show Dharmesh Shah is a very dear friend of mine. I think he is one of the finest directors we have in the industry. I can’t say no to him and hence I accepted the role.  The USP of the show is the suspense element and without any doubt the quality will be top notch.”

Well said Iqbal!
