Superbly talented and glamorous beauty Tridha Choudhary, who debuted on small screen with Star Plus’ critically acclaimed show Dehleez, believes that the genre of web series is no lesser than its bigger cousin…television.

The actress is Vikram Bhatt’s leading lady in his recently launched web show ‘Spotlight’ on Viu (Video On Demand Service). The story captures the ebb & flow in the world of glitz & glamour.

The web series is currently streamline and has set the ball rolling in terms of views and likes.

The web series is not entirely focusing on intimacy.

Talking about the experience and overwhelming response, Tridha said, “It is an amazing experience. When you are given a character to play, you do look for variety. When I was offered, I found the role very different, hence opted for it. I believe in today’s time, web series is no less than a TV show.”

She continued, “Initially, people assumed that since brand Bhatt is attached it’s going to be another Hate Story, however, it’s far from the scenario. Watch it and you will fall in love with the characters.  I am happy that the audience is giving us so much love. I hope it continues forever.”

Tridha feels that TV space has too many filters compared to web series.

“If a TV show is being produced, it goes through a lot of filters. The content, parameters and shooting any particular scene varies a lot when compared to a web series. We had a scene in Spotlight wherein my character Sana was trapped and dragged, however, the director shot it completely differently with sound effects,” added the lovely actress.

Spotlight’s bold kissing scenes has become the talk of the town. So we asked Tridha, how comfortable was she enacting the scenes? “I was quite uncomfortable. You are basically conscious because there are many unit members on the set.  However, the director guided us well. The web series is not entirely focusing on intimacy.

However, people watch the trailer and mark the content as related to intimacy. It has a very different story to tell the audience.”

When we asked Tridha the major difference between TV and digital, she averred, “TV is rapidly progressing and the makers are moving forward from the regular drama. I feel if you show audience the real world they will appreciate it. But if you show them imaginary space they won’t like it.  In the current scenario, I don’t see a major difference in both the platforms. I also feel that figital’s reach is higher compared to TV.”

Well said lady!

Lastly, Tridha shared her experienced working with ace producer Vikram Bhatt. “Although he has not directed the web series but it was amazing working for his project. He is a disciplined man and very precise about his work.”

We hope your web series make a major mark in audience’s heart. Wish you luck Tridha!
