Popular and talented Veebha Anand, who rose to fame as Sughna in Colors’ show Balika Vadhu, will be seen in the short film ‘Yours truly Roohani’, directed by Sammir I Patel.
‘Yours truly Roohani’ is a romantic-comedy which will release next month.
The digital platform is certainly on a roar these days and the fraternity is quite inclined towards it. We asked Veebha about her take on the growing trends of the digital platform and whether she is keen on doing more of on the web.
She said, “It is a very good platform for actors. You have the liberty and freedom. The web platform is coming up with some really interesting, different concepts and ideas. It gives an opportunity to people who have been trying to present their ideas in a different way and helps them to experiment with content. It also connects easily with the youth. So it’s a great beginning. I feel TV should also experiment something like this.”
Talking about her short film, she shared, “It is a rom-com film. It is about soul connect and is inspired by a real life story. I am a believer of soul connection, and when I first heard the story I could connect to it. And that’s also the reason why I didn’t think twice and immediately said yes for the role.”
When asked about her TV comeback, she averred, “There have been a lot of offers but I want to take up something which excites me as an actor. There are only regular shows and I have done such series. So I am waiting for a right project.”
Veebha, who was part of Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, added, “I am not a part of the third season of the show which will air on Voot.”
