The Parth Samthaan-Vikas Gupta fracas just does not seem to end. After all the ugly mudslinging that happened a while back comes yes another salvo.

There was a media report which suggested that Parth, who had gained name and fame courtesy Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan(KYY), had put a condition to the production house, BBC Worldwide, that he will only do KYY season 3, if Vikas is not part of the project. Vikas, one of the finalists of this year’s Bigg Boss, was earlier the producer of KYY.

For the uninitiated, KYY 3 is back, but this time on the web (Voot), as opposed to TV (MTV). In a kind of casting coup, BBC has managed to rope in both earlier main leads, Parth and Niti Taylor, who, as per the above reports, had lots of differences. Even Parth’s close friend Charlie Chauhan is part of the project.

However, Myleeta Aga of BBC Worldwide, denied that such a conversation ever took place between her team and Parth, regarding non-involvement of Vikas in the project.

A source wondered why Vikas’s name is being dragged in, as he was not part of season 2 as well. “Could this be the handiwork of someone who wants to milk the above controversy? This time KYY is being streamed online instead of TV; so any kind of extra buzz always helps”, added the source.

Compared to Vikas and Niti, Parth most needs KYY to fire, for as of now, his career seems to be going nowhere. His long-delayed film is stuck, and there is no further progress on the few projects he was supposed to have been doing. Sources say that the makers might have pulled out, given the negativity surrounding Parth.

When we reached out to Vikas, he said, “All I will say is that I wish KYY 3 all the best.”

Interestingly, Vikas is also working on his own version of KYY. “That will come out when I am ready.”

We also sent out a text message to Parth, but could not get through to him.
