After giving a Gujarati web-series, SonyLIV will now work on a Bangla concept

SonyLIV to foray into ‘Bangla’ regional content

SonyLIV, the digital segment of broadcasting giant Sony Pictures Network, is all set to expand its regional content.

The company recently tied up with individual content creators Arre and Web Talkies to create regional content.

SonyLIV’s first original regional web-series was in Gujarati, titled ‘Kacho Papad Pako Papad’.

Now we hear that SonyLIV is working towards making the first web-series in Bangla.

As per a credible source, “Though the work is at a nascent stage, SonyLIV has a vision to expand its regional programming. After the successful streaming of the very first Gujarati web-series, a Bangla concept is being planned at the moment.”

As we know Kacho Papad, the Gujarati web-series had actors Rupa Divetia, Pratap Sachdeo and Bhakti Rathod in prime roles.

We, at IndianWikiMedia.com, buzzed Uday Sodhi EVP and Head – Digital Business, SonyLIV to seek more information but he refused to comment.
