Applause Entertainment has set a benchmark in creating premium and exciting digital series in the country. The content studio from the Aditya Birla Group, led by media pioneer Sameer Nair, now begins filming their next project ‘Udan Patolas’, adapted from an Israeli Series Honey Badgers.
A story of four friends and their aspirational journey in Mumbai, this is a tale of unbreakable sisterhood replete with inside jokes, emotional upheavals and many unplanned comic moments. Comedian, writer, director and also the creator of the original Israeli show Naor Zion recently visited India to interact with team.
Appreciated widely by audiences around the world, the Indian remake of this Israeli series from Armoza Formats will be directed by Shakti Sagar Chopra and produced by Sol Production.
‘Udan Patolas’ features the story of four Punjabi girls- Amarinder Gill, Noorpreet Dhillon, Punni Chandok and Lovely Singh Chabbra. All four land jobs in an investment firm in Mumbai, adapt their names to make them more city like and aspire to find the right boyfriend and upmarket lifestyle in this competitive city. When Amarinder lands an ideal man in her life, the rest try to catch up. A slice of life dramedy, ‘Udan Patolas’ focuses on the everyday challenges, ups and downs that life in a city brings for young women.
