The highly successful show on Star Plus will have a brand new look and feel, presentation

Star Plus’ long-running and highly-rated show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai produced by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut is headed for a complete revamp with respect to the story flavour, look, feel and presentation!!

Yes, earlier in the day, IWMBuzz.com reported about Shubham’s (Gaurav Wadhwa) death leading to Kartik (Mohisn Khan) and Naira (Shivangi Joshi) getting separated, after which Naira will relocate to Mumbai with her family.

Well, this big development in the storyline we hear, will open up the path for the new and fresh ambience and setup in the show.

One more fact is that the Yeh Rishta team has been guarding a major surprise for quite some time now. In fact, the entry of press and media inside the set has been stopped from the past many days. And this had actually puzzled many in the media.

But now, we have an answer to this…

A credible source tells IWMBuzz.com, “The set of Yeh Rishta in Film City is going through a major reconstruction and revamp in totality. The set will have a whole new look. Work has been in progress for quite some time now, and the makers have been safely guarding this information. The idea was to surprise the viewers with a brand new look on the day of telecast.”

Yes, we have the date also for you here. We are given to understand that on 21 May, viewers will get to witness the alarming new development with respect to the look and feel in the premise.

So you must be wondering where the Yeh Rishta shoot was happening for all these days?

Our source further confides, “The Yeh Rishta team has always been on the run. They have been relocating to various places and shooting their episodes. However, this fact of the team shooting elsewhere has also been a guarded secret till now. Hence the media was not allowed anywhere near the set of the popular show.”

One thing to be noted here is that Yeh Rishta which has given viewers hugely entertaining 2600 odd episodes till now, has earlier gone through the ‘reboot’ phase, for example, the Cape Town track and the Hrishikesh tracks. Actually, the Hrishikesh track opened up a new phase in the show with Naira growing big with Mohsin and Shivangi’s entry. So after this happened in May 2016, this will be the next big revamp for the show.

Another point to be considered here is that every time the channel and makers have unleashed a revamp, the storyline, look and feel has only garnered more eyeballs. After all, this is one show that has managed to keep the audiences’ interest alive for years, by being one of the top-rated shows across GECs.

Also, we hear that Kartik and Naira wil be seen in new avatars post the revamp phase, which will also take the storyline ahead by two years. Few new surprises in terms of the plot also await the audience. Before anyone thinks further, we will like to tell you that apart from Shubham’s character, all the present characters will be retained post the revamp.

We buzzed Producer Rajan Shahi and sent him a text too, but he did not respond to our calls.

We reached out to the channel spokesperson to know more about the revamp in Yeh rishta, but did not get revert till we filed the story.
