Aishwarya Sharma of Meri Durga fame gets into a conversation

I am here to act, be it for any genre – Aishwarya Sharma

An Engineer from Madhya Pradesh, Aishwarya Sharma came to Mumbai to pursue her dream in acting. A pro Kathak dancer, Aishwarya has been part of shows Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman, Jaanbaaz Sindbad, Suryaputra Karn and Bal Krishna. She got her first big role in the show Meri Durga aired on Star Plus where she played the character of Amruta.

Talking about her Meri Durga journey, the actress avers, “I being the complete opposite of Amruta, had to work on the role a lot. It was a different experience, where I learned a lot. The team was good to work with and I enjoyed the outing. I got to learn from many senior actors.”

Aishwarya who has earlier been part of mythological shows likes to study the depth of a character before choosing to play it. “I am here to act, be it for any genre. Having said this, I want to pick up roles that will help me grow as an actor. When I look back at my work after years, I should be proud of what I have done.”

The young girl is a dreamer and like many, wants to try her hand in movies. “Yes, films are definitely on cards, but I will love to play a tomboyish character next.”

A method actor that she is, Aishwarya Sharma will prefer to portray a character which would demand the process of method acting. “Method acting is what I like. To quench my thirst for good acting opportunities, I take up good short film offers and am looking forward to work on powerful characters in the near future.”
