Actor Puneet Panjwani is very much excited about the concept of his new show, Ikyawann (Panorama Entertainment) on Star Plus.
Says Puneet, “The concept of the show is very different and amazing to watch. The show is about a girl who is fathered by four men (grandfather, father, two uncles). Being in the influence of the four men, Susheel has imbibed more of the manly qualities and is not the typical girl material. She dresses like a boy, she loves to play cricket, and break the dahi handi, she does not know to cook etc. The plot will revolve around how Susheel will get a boy for herself.”
Talking about the special bond that her character shares with Susheel, Puneet tells us, “Naresh my character who is the mama of Susheel is a very happy-go-lucky kind of a guy. Most of the girls usually share a close bond with their mothers. And my character fills that spot for Susheel. She will tell anything and everything to her mama. They have a very friendly yet emotional bonding.”
Puneet who has donned varied roles in TV feels that this one is very different from whatever he has done till date. “I am enjoying this role a lot. It is a very good role. It has a comic flavour too. Also I have never played father on screen, that too to such a big girl. So yes, it is fun.”
Punit who shares a good bond with Prachi Tehlan off the screen has nicknamed her as ‘Bahubali’ owing to her height and physique. “Yes, she is fondly called ‘Bahubali on the set by me. Prachi is very sweet, nice to work with and very down to earth. We all bond well and have gelled very well in quick time.”
