Talented child artiste Ayaan Zubair Rahmani has been jumping from one role to another, giving exemplary performances every time he gets into the skin of a character!!

As Shantanu in Zee TV’s Yeh Teri Galliyan (Cinevista), Ayaan has given life to the adorable and loving character of Shantanu for whom his friendship with Puchki (Ruchi Mahajan) matters the most!!

Says Ayaan with utmost confidence, “Acting is more or less like blending with water wherein I get into new roles and attain any shape that the creatives ask me to get into. I faced the camera for the first time as a six months old kid. From then on, acting has been in my blood.”

Ayaan considers it the best to work with Creative Producer of the show Palki Malhotra, and says, “I have worked in a lot of shows and with lot of people. But the way Palki Mam handles us kids, nobody has done it so immaculately. She’s brilliant and I love working with her. She supports us so much that it feels great.”

On the extension that kids have got with the leap being postponed, he states, “Yes, we were earlier supposed to be for only 12 episodes. Later, we got an extension of 30 episodes. And now, we have been told that we will be there for sometime. It feels nice when your work gets appreciated.”

The emotion that comes very naturally to Ayaan is the crying emotion. “As Shantanu, I get to cry a lot. We usually see female protagonists cry a lot on TV, but for a change being a boy, I get to cry a lot. I have never used glycerine to cry. I am very natural when it comes to the emotional scenes.”

Ayaan has been part of hugely acclaimed shows like Jodha Akbar, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman, Chandrashekar etc.

Ask him about the role that remains closest to his heart and Ayaan states, “It has to be Chandrashekar. It is my favourite role and will remain my favourite forever. It was nice to be part of a show depicting a freedom fighter’s life. I got to learn a lot about our country’s freedom fighters.”

Ayaan who is in the 5th standard considers education as important as his acting career. “I love to study and go to my school to collect my worksheets. I study at home and whenever I get time. Though the shoot schedules get tough at times, I don’t mind the struggle as I love my acting career. At the same time, I am a sincere student.”

Talking about his actor sister Jannat Zubair Rahmani and his parents’ support towards his growth he states, “My didi (sister) has been in the acting field for a long time now. She supports me a lot and she is happy to see my show grow in numbers. My parents support us in every walk of our lives.”

Ask him about being a favorite child artist with viewers, and he comes out with an innocent reply, “I don’t know what happens outside. I do my work and get home. I don’t know who likes me and who likes what I do. I have not seen my fans’ reactions. I just believe that I need to do good work.”

Way to go, Ayaan!!
