My curious nature helps me to play my role in Detective Didi with ease – Sonia Balani

Enchanting beauty Sonia Balani, who has impressed audience in Tu Mera Hero, will be playing a bubbly character Bunty Sharma, who loves challenges and solving cases in Zee TV’s weekly fictional show Detective Didi (Triflix Entertainment).

Sonia spoke about the serial, her character, experience of shooting in Delhi and the growing crime against in India.

She says, “I have done lot of preparations for the role of Bunty. I had to do a lot of practice for the stunts in the series. I have watched videos and have also learnt from the martial arts trainer who is present on our sets. It is not a simple role. It demands a lot of hard work and preparation. I just love this character.”

Ask her whether she has been a detective in real life by solving cases at schools or home, she adds, “I am a very curious person in real life. This trait of my personality is helping me to play my character with ease. I feel a detective has to be very curious in life. I am watching videos of popular detective series, but I am not following any particular person as I don’t want to repeat the same thing. I want to create my own niche.”

Talking about crimes, Sonia avers, “I love kids. So when I read stories on child rape, I get very emotional. I would like to eradicate crimes that are against kids as I have a soft corner for them.”

Sonia is shooting in Delhi, and sharing her experience working in the capital city, she quips, “I am missing Mumbai  as I have been staying there for 4 years with my friends and close ones. However, I like the weather in Delhi. It is little uncomfortable but I am happy to be shooting in Delhi’s winters. Shooting at real locations in Delhi has been both interesting and challenging.”

Best of luck, Sonia!!
