Renowned actor Bijay Anand is happy to have joined the Balaji Telefilms family with the newest show, Dil Hi Toh Hai on Sony TV.
Playing the sophisticated, rich and smart business tycoon Vijaypath Noon in the show, Bijay exudes class and majestic grace in his character.
Says Bijay, “The first reason for me to take this show was because it is a Balaji Telefilms show. The success rate of any new show of Balaji becoming a hit is big. Ekta is a master at understanding the market. Also, I was told that the show will be presented very differently.”
Talking about his character, he states, “I simply love my role. It is fantastic. For an actor to get a character such as Mr. Noon is great. The man is fun-loving, a complete family man, showering love always. But there is another side to him wherein he gets angry. So it is indeed a challenge for me to portray these two differing shades in the same character and genre.”
Bijay who is a family man in real life connects very well with the character in this aspect. “Being a Yoga teacher myself, I tell all in my class that family is more important than even God. Rather than spending 8 hours in a temple, if you can devote quality time for your family, it will give you all the joy possible. In personal life too, I shower love towards my family. The same holds good to my character too. And this is what I love the best about Mr. Noon. He cares for his family a lot and showers all the love on them.”
On the huge cast in the show, Bijay avers, “It is a great cast. Karan Kundra is a star; Poonam Dhillon is what she is. Akshay Dogra is a great actor. Our entire cast is really good.”
On the show available also on the digital platform ALTBalaji, Bijay who has been part of ZEE5’s Karenjit Kaur states, “This is a good initiative. In fact, most people in the major cities are moving towards the digital. The web space offers the advantage of watching the program you want, at the time you want.”
Bijay is his own stylist. “I know for sure what will suit me. So I took the initiative in choosing my suits, the watches I wear, the shoes etc. The stylist here is wonderful. But I love to make my own style statement.”
