Actor singer Suyyash Rai is all set to give wings to his music career. Suyyash kick-started his music career by cutting an album Khushnuma with his then girl friend and now wife Kishwer Merchant. Later he also sung a number for his acting show Bhi Na Maane…Badtameez Dil.
Says Suyyash, “I am working on few film numbers as music director and playback singer.”
He further informs that he and his team which includes talented musicians from Mumbai, Bhopal and Gwalior have already composed over 40 songs across different genres of which three of them might soon appear in films. “I am very pretty sure that they will become big hits in the coming months,” ascertains the actor and singer.
Will you be open to singing reality shows as contestant? “No, since I am already an actor who has taken part in Bigg Boss and Box Cricket League; so coming on as contestant will be below my pay grade. But yes, I would love to host one and since I croon as well, it would be bonanza for the makers.”
Suyyash who gained acting fame courtesy Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and Kya Hua Tera Vaada is now giving preference to music over acting. He says, “I know many are sniggering at me suggesting that I opted for singing only after my acting career did not take off. I will not comment, for such talks have done nothing for themselves. I will rather wait for my above work to speak for itself.”
However here, Suyyash adds that he has not completely given up on acting either. “I am part of the new Sony show Pehredaar Piya Ki. The story is such that after post entry, my character will be given a break only to come back later. In a way I am happy with assignments that grant me time to pay attention to singing.”
His previous fiction show was Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani.
In closing, we ask Suyyash which romantic number you would want to sing to Kishwer in the current rainy weather. “I am done with singing old Bollyyood numbers; now I will floor her with my original compositions.”
