Sara Khan, who has been quite busy of late juggling Pakistani and desi TV, wants to take a break to recharge her batteries. After wrapping up her second Pak show Lekin, she quickly jumped into the cameo in Star Plus show Jaana Na Dil Se Door. Prior to this after her first Pak show Bekdhudi, she had also done a cameo in Ishqbaaaz (Star Plus) playing a crazy airhostess.
The shooting of the above Yash Patnaik production will end soon. “So now I plan to go for a quick vacation with my sister Arya and also celebrate Ramzaan with family and friends. Once you are shooting you don’t get time for anything else.”
Sara further informs that once her short break ends she will resume work. “I am in talks for more Pakistani shows. I have got lots of love there. As I have said before since those shows are of limited nature we can do different stories. I am also in talks with other Indian producers; let’s see how things pan out.”
She adds, “I am open to more cameo performances. But here the big difference is that my cameos are not your regular short roles rather they become main stay of the narrative, like in Jaana Na, ditto with Sasural Simar Ka where my naagin track changed the face of Indian TV, did it not?”
Sara would also love to do a long running show, “However it should be something which motivates to come to work daily for months at end, like my debut show Bidaai which is closest to my heart.”
Looking ahead, Sara is open to web series as well. “All big actors are making a bee line there. However she says , “While I am open to bold stuff online, it has to be shot classically and not look vulgar.”
