Amit Varma talks about how different his role of Lord Krishna will be in & TV’s upcoming show, Bakula Bua ka Bhoot.

Amit Varma who has charmed one and all with his comic acts early in his career with shows Khichdi and Baa Bahu aur Baby is happy to get back to the genre of comedy after a long time.

The actor as we know, will be seen playing Lord Krishna in & TV’s comedy series Bakula Bua ka Bhoot produced by Hats Off Productions.

And this Lord Krishna on the small screen will be very different from the rest, as he will be one who would be petrified by the acts of his own bhakt.

Interesting, right?

Elaborating on this, Amit Varma told Indianwikimedia.com, “Nobody has played the role of Lord Krishna like what mine is in the show. For once, this Krishna is scared of his own Bhakt, that is Bakula. Viewers will simply enjoy the interaction and the take given to my rapport with Saritaji (Joshi) in the show. I will be shown in swarg lok, and Bakula happens to be my very genuine bhakt. And we will have a connect wherein Krishna and Bakula will have converstions. Bakula will be shown scolding Krishna, arguing with him etc. It will be a very funny take when the scenes will be on us.”

Amit feels that nobody could have refused playing the role of this Krishna, especially because of the way it has been conceptualized. On getting back to comedy after long, Amit said, “I started my career with Khichdi and it feels good to do comedy. And with a writer like Aatish Kapadia writing, it will be tremendous fun. This show will be like a breath of fresh air.”

Amit who recently got married to his childhood girlfriend Jyoti Talreja is happy that he got ample time with his better half before he got back to the grind. “Life has been great post marriage. Frankly speaking, I was not getting good offers in the recent past. Post marriage, we went on a trip to South India and had fun. After returning, I took some time to get back in shape and this was when I got a call from Aatish.”

Amit who has had a long and fruitful association with Hats Off is happy to be back with the family. “JD (Majethia) and Aatish are actually my good luck charm. When I was doing Khichdi, I bagged Hotel Kingston. And when Baa Bahu aur Baby happened, I bagged yet another major show. So I am hopeful of bagging another biggie very soon (smiles).”

On working with the veteran Sarita Joshi, Amit averred, “I have had a good association with Sarita behen in Baa Bahu aur Baby. She is a wonderful person and a fabulous actor. She has this contagious energy and it rubs on to all on the set. I am really looking forward to this role.”

Wish you the best Amit.
