Namik Paul is quite excited about the upcoming leap and his rebirth track in the Sony show Ek Deewaana Tha (LSD Films). He was playing a ghost who wanted to save his love Sharanya (Donal Bisht) from evil Vyom (Vikram Singh Chauhan).
Says Namik, “As you must have seen, Shiv finally got mukti (salvation) in last night’s episode. Now the story will fast forward 25 years with my rebirth and I will have a properly living character. This is really good for being a sprit I could not do much (interaction with co star had to be only via vfx) but now I can.”
Namik who gained fame with his earlier Sony show Ek Duje Ke Vaaste, refused to spell out details of the post leap plot saying, “Why don’t you watch it for yourself. All I will say is that it will be a brand new story. But yes we will have links to the past story. Had that not been the case, all our previous efforts would have gone down the drain. And we have might as well would have started a new show.”
He also refused to say what will happen to Vyom. “No spoilers please.”
Going on Namik added, “I am looking forward to establishing a new character. The concept of re-birth fits into the story setting the stage for a fresh reset.”
Going on this lanky dude says said, “It is good that this did not come across as a surprise to the audience; they knew about it since the past 2 months and we even before. My fans are happy that the spirit character has been given proper exit. Here I wish to happily inform them that my new avatar will have lot of elements what the fans also wanted. They now can see me as a full-fledged lead.”
When asked about rating, which even the first season did not get he said, “I don’t bother about things which are beyond my control. I rather pay attention to my performance and make it go up by a notch.”
Bring it on, Namik!!
