Young Deshna Dugad is the new budding talent in tinsel town. The adorable kid, who is winning millions of hearts as Mariam in Star Plus’ Mariam Khan – Reporting Live, is indeed a very smart and talented child.
In conversation with IWMBuzz.com, Deshna, who also played important roles in shows like Baal Krishna, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon and Siddhivinayak, reveals that acting is not what wants to pursue as a career.
She shares, “I was never inclined towards acting. I gave auditions and got selected for projects however acting doesn’t interest me. But if I take up any project, I give my 100% to it. I am more inclined towards creative things. I enjoy dancing, karate. In future, I want to become an interior designer.”
Talking about her background, she says, “I hail from Indore and I am studying at Global Indian International School, Indore. Now, we have shifted to Mumbai and managing my studies from here. My dad brings notes on weekend and I try to complete them on sets. My school principal and teaching staffs are very supportive. They have permitted me to not attend the school hence I only go to take exams.”
Deshna is an effortless actress, when we ask how she prepares herself for the emotional scenes, she adds, “After reading the script, I understand what is needed to be done and I work on it accordingly. I get the feel from within and it comes out really well on-screen. I am thankful to the audience who appreciate my talent and support me always.”
