Success of a show depends a lot on destiny: Reyaansh Vir Chdha

Good looking and talented actor, Reyaansh Vir Chdha has joined the long list of fellow TV actors, trying their hands at web. He is playing the lead in a digital film, tentatively titled, Love By Chance. “We shot the entire film in Bangkok. It is about how two strangers meet and fall in love in the matter of one night.”

“The post-production is on, and at the same time, the makers (well-known Marathi guys) are in talks with several online platforms for release. This new market (web series and shorts) has really grown over the years, and the main consumers are youth, whose concerns were not being addressed by GEC. Love Per Square Feet is a shining example of the efficacy of digital films.”

“The best part of doing a feature length project is that we know exactly where and how our characters will go about, allowing us to really add value. Also, unlike TV, films have lots of outdoors, like we had several scenes with gorillas in real locations in the Thai capital.”

“Having said that,TV is huge and has a different dynamic.” He will soon join the cast of Kasam. “I am not at liberty to say more about this project yet.”

Reyaansh, who has been around for several years (Miley Jab Hum Tum, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, etc.)has really grown as an actor.“For me, there is no downside as such, as for certain projects not doing well, we all know that we actors alone are not responsible for a show’s success or otherwise. There are a host of other factors (production house, story, characters, etc.) at play as well. Agreed, there has been a long break, but then I prefer to wait for something juicy to come along my way. In the meantime, I had also shot for a pilot of a promising Star Plus show; but sadly, it did not go on air. I guess there is something called destiny.”

What went wrong with your last show, Kahani Hamari…Dil Dosti Deewanepan Ki (&TV), back in 2016?

“Well, as I said above, we expected this second season to Hamari Adhuri Kahani to do well, but it shut shop in a matter of months.Kindly ask the producer and the channel for what and why.”
