We are a little late in the day, and we apologise for that. But as they say, the best is saved for the last.

Myleeta Aga, we must admit, is the most underrated professional in the world of media & entertainment. Why do we say that? Well, she is an institution in herself who has maintained a deliberate low profile all these years. We guess, that comes from her demure demeanour, which is an alibi for her fiery & fiesty go getter innate persona embedded deep in her psyche.

Myleeta, currently SVP & GM India, BBC Worldwide,  for us is an absolute winner among achievers.

Indianwikimedia, before the much talked about rendezvous with Colors top boss Raj Nayak , had a quick byte chat with Myleeta at the press launch of India Banega Manch.

“The show is innovative and allows people from different corners and strata to showcase their talent. It provides us with a sense of gratification with the kind of work we have done on the project,” says Myleeta smiling with contagious exuberance.

Talent showcase has become a norm in the digital space, with Youtubers hitting popularity charts minting money in the process. Myleeta, however, feels that India Banega Manch provides a holistic approach.

“Not all talented people know how to upload a video or monetise online content. Everyone is not so tech savvy. We are providing opportunity to those who might not have these expertise but are superbly talented. The manch is bigger in this case.”

Myleeta with her team at BBC is helming the celebrity glamour injected dance reality show Nach Baliye as well (Star Plus). The iron lady of programming shares that variety and innovation has helped the company sustain for years together.

“The idea is to constantly evolve and seek new challenges. One has to innovate on ideas and execution and be open to different kind of experiences. Reality television is a labyrinth with immense possibilities, but it’s not necessary that everytime change will be revolutionary, it can be evolutionary as well. One step at a time, one idea at a time,” says Myleeta before whizzing away to another meeting (busy lady she is after all) and promising to meet and talk again.

Indianwikimedia thanks the visionary for her time and noble words. We do look forward to another bout of conversation soon. Till then, adios amigos.
