Discovery Communications’ entry into the General Entertainment space with the launch of its new channel Discovery JEET has to be one of the ‘big events’ in the coming year (2018).

Rohan Sippy’s Black Swann Entertainment is making an investigative series titled ‘Khan No. 1’, while Ajay Devgn and Watergate Productions will combine for the biopic on Baba Ramdev titled ‘Swami Baba Ramdev: The Untold Story’. Meanwhile, TV giants Contiloe will come up with the historical masterpiece, Battle of Saragarhi. Still and Still Media Collective will bring to the TV screens the life and tale of the rap singer with the title ‘Gabru – The Origin of Hip Hop’. Also Lotus Talkies is working on a horror series titled ‘Anjaan’.
Now joining the bandwagon will be yet another big name from Television, DJ’s – A Creative Unit.
Yes, the production house helmed by Tony Singh and Deeya Singh is presently working on a differentiator in terms of concept for Discovery JEET. We hear that the show has gone on floor.

Titled ‘Shaadi Jasoos’, the show will revolve around the lives of four investigative officers who would be masters at getting to know the family history, good and bad about the families who would come together for an alliance, which would culminate in a marriage. So basically hired by families to know about the personal details of the family they are going into an alliance with, the four officers will play integral roles.
Moving to the cast, talented face Sidharth Bhardwaj, who won MTV Splitsvilla and was part of Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi will play one of the officers in the series. Joining him as an officer will be Baby movie fame Akash Pratap Singh who was recently seen in Sony TV’s Haasil. Newbies Samar Vermani and Srishti Ganguli Rindani will play the main leads in the series. This will be their first work on television.
We buzzed Producer Tony Singh for a confirmation on the same, but could not reach out to him.
