The two actors are in contention for the lead slot in Saurabh Tewari’s show on Star Plus.

TV show based on one of the acclaimed works of famous Hindi writer Harishankar Parsai will be the next show coming from the stables of popular show Zindagi Ki Mehak’s maker, Saurabh Tewari.

The ace Producer (under the banner Parin Multimedia) has already roped in Megha Chakraborty as the lead of the show to be made for Star Plus. Now the search for the male lead is on!! The role of Bankey from Indore needs a young face and the channel and makers, we believe are on the lookout.

IndianWikiMedia.com has learnt through its sources that it is going to be a well-fought out battle between two young actors for the lead role…

The first guy to be in contention is Gaurav Sareen who is presently seen in Sony TV’s Ek Deewana Tha, as Sharanya’s brother.

Anshul Pandey, known for his acting prowess in shows Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, Bade Acchhe Laggte Hai and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is in very close contention for the same role.

An inside source tells us, “Gaurav and Anshul have been short-listed to play the role of Bankey. It is believed that one of them will be selected and locked in the near future.”

This series will be based out in Indore!!

When contacted, both Gaurav and Anshul claimed to know nothing about the show or role.

We reached out to Producer Saurabh Tewari, but could not get through to him.

We also buzzed the channel spokesperson, but did not reach out to them.

This yet untitled series for Star Plus is liely to go on floor in end of February.
