The Chandrakanta sojourn on Life OK is set to come to a grinding halt. IndianWikiMedia has learnt from credible sources that the ambitious project will soon see its end.
Helmed by Triangle Films, the show has Kritika Kamra and Gaurav Khanna in lead roles. Though sounded off with much fanfare, sadly it never managed to pick up in terms of audience connect and number churning.
Says a source, “The series was a finite one and the shoot is over. Now, the channel knows when it will pull it off, in most probability,by end August, next month. Had ratings done well, the show would have seen a longer run.”
Chandrakanta on Life OK saw a renewed eyeballs battle after rival channel Colors launched a similar show recently.
“Competition beefed up, certainly, having said that, Life OK is pulling out all its costly shows. First, Ranjit Singh, now Chandrakanta,” adds the source.
We buzzed producer Nikhil Sinha and a channel spokesperson but they did not comment till the time of filing the article.
