Rashmi Sharma, the impeccable storyteller in Indian television, is set to launch a strong concept soon on Colors, one that would revolve around the life of a s*x worker.
Titled either Meena Bazaar or Tawaif, the plot is a strong one and sources maintain that the unit will soon begin shooting in Kolkata’s red light area Sonagachi.
Furthermore, the initial buzz was that Hina Khan would play the titular role. Hina is currently in Bigg Boss, thus, the next name that surfaced was of Tina Dutta, lead of Uttaran (another famous Colors show).
However, now we have learnt that Mahhi Vij, if sources are to be believed, has been locked for the project.
When we buzzed Mahhi to seek a confirmation, she chose not to divulge any details.
Mahii, again, is a popular Colors actor having been part of its successful show, Laagi Tujhse Lagan.
We made an attempt to seek comment from channel spokesperson and Producer Rashmi Sharma as well, but did not receive any revert till the time of filing the article.
