Colors’ weekend fantasy tale, Chandrakanta – Ek Mayavi Prem Gatha (Balaji Telefilms) will see an important new entry!!
Talented actress Maleeka R Ghai who recently entered the historical show on Star Plus, Aarambh will now join the ensemble cast of Chandrakanta on Colors.
She will don the role of the Guru Maa who will aide and support Iravati (Urvashi Dholakia) in her vicious game plans!!
For Maleeka, this negative avatar in Chandrakanta will be totally different from her recent comic role in Aarambh where she was seen with actor Ashiesh Roy.
As per sources, “Guru Maa will be important in the story line as she will be the one who would take valuable decisions for Iravati in the tracks to come. The character Bhadra Maa will be a devotee of Lord Vishnu and would have possessed spiritual powers with her devotion and penance. People will be highly scared of Bhadra Maa as she will have the power of looking into a person’s eyes and reading their secrets. Iravati will have a high regard for Bhadra Maa.”
When contacted, Maleeka confirmed her entry in Chandrakanta saying, “Yes, I am entering the show. It is a very interesting and important character, that of Guru Maa. I am super excited about it and looking forward to audiences’ feedback on my entry. They have seen me in positive and comic roles, but grey shade will be something new to explore. It is always a privilege to be associated with Ekta Kapoor’s shows as she really works on her actor’s ”
