Comic iconic show Khichdi is all set to make a comeback after 12 years. The new series will feature the same talented cast Anang Desai, Supriya Pathak, Vandana Pathak, Rajeev Mehta, with the addition of some new faces.
Television popular actress Melissa Pais, who has enthralled audience in shows like Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo, Pritam Pyare Aur Who, Neeli Chatri Waale and Chidiya Ghar, has been roped in for the series.
Shares a source, “Melissa will be playing one of the neighbours of the Parekh family. It is a permanent character in the storyline.”
The popular sitcom launched in 2002 on Star Plus, and became an instant craze. It launched its new season Instant Khichdi on Star Plus in 2005. The makers also used the premise and characters to make Khichdi: The Movie. The first film in Indian cinema to be based on a television series performed well at the box office.
We hear that Melissa has started shooting for the series.
