Pankaj Dheer is livid. Read out why.

SAB TV’s successful show Tenali Rama (Contiloe) is winning love and appreciation from viewers.

The series is recently witnessing Kings and Queens of different countries coming to the court of Emperor Krishnadevaraya (Manav Gohil).

IWMBuzz.com has exclusively learnt that veteran actor Pankaj Dheer, who is currently enthralling audience in &TV’s Badho Bahu, was roped in for an important cameo and was supposed to shoot from tomorrow, but a certain bad experience on the set has prompted the talented senior actor to opt out.

Angry on the entire incident, Pankaj shared his thoughts with IWMBuzz.com, “I am not doing Tenali Rama as I refused to work with them (the production and show). They refused to make clothes and give me a new outfit. Instead, they gave me an old dress, which was torn and ragged. And I don’t work like this. Hence, I am not part of it.”

We also reached out to Producer Abhimanyu Singh and the channel spokesperson but did not hear from them till we filed our story.

After the article got published, we were contacted by the production team and this is what they have to share:

Varsha Lalwani, creative head of Tenali Rama clarified: “We normally have one week slot for the actor who enters the show for a cameo appearance. As it is for one week only,  we don’t make costume for every character so we hire it. Pankaj did not want to wear dress which was already used. One day before, when we planned a look test with him, we got to know that he doesn’t want to do it. That was his condition but he did not say before he signed the show. One day prior he said he needs new costume which was also not possible for us. He himself said that if that is the thing than he won’t be able to do the shoot. He said you cast someone else. Hence, we had to go ahead with some other actor. It was neither his fault nor ours. We don’t want to say anything against him.”
