Sumona Chakravarti who played the ravishing beauty, Meera Ghosh, the first lead on the show will not be part of Season 2.
Yes, you heard it right!!
A credible source confides in us, “The prime cast of Season 1, the titular face of the show Ashish Chaudhary, Puja Banerjee, Amit Dolawat and Joyshree Arora will be part of Season 2 of Dev. However, Sumona’s character will be missing from the main plot. The reason for this is that the character of Meera will have no story plot in in the second season.”
As we know, Ashish plays the central character of Dev Anand Burman, while Puja plays the role of Mehak. Amit Dolawat is Senior Inspector Amod Narvekar while Joyshree plays the role of Zohra Aapa.
When contacted, Sumona listened to our query, but could not continue with the call as she was travelling.
We buzzed Producers Alind and Nissar and also the channel spokesperson, but did not get revert till we filed the story.
The shoot of Dev 2 will start soon and the launch is likely to happen in February.
