Senior actress Tripta Lakhanpal, who plays the role of Mehak’s great-grandmother (pardaadi) in Zee TV’s popular show, Zindagi Ki Mehak will unfortunately bid adieu to the show soon!!
A complete livewire on the sets, always brimming with energy even at the age of 76, Tripta is loved by one and all on the sets of Mehak.
News coming in is that there is a certain sorrow-filled ambience on the sets eversince the cast and crew has gotten to know of the natural progression in the story, leading to the character’s death!!
Yes, it is indeed sad but true!!
A credible source from the sets told us, “The story track in Mehak will be hitting a crescendo with the terrorist on the run, Armaan (Piyush Dadlani) working on his next big move. In a ghastly encounter, Armaan is believed to shoot down PD, Mehak’s pardaadi, which will result in the grand old lady breathing her last.”
For the uninitiated, the character of PD is the most popular character in the show after Shaurya (Karan Vohra) and Mehak (Samiksha Jaiswal).
Tripta who faced the camera for the first time (ad project) when she was 63 became popular for her dadi act in the movie Queen, wherein she played the role of Kangana Ranaut’s grandmother.
We reached out to Producer Saurabh Tewari, but did not get revert.
We also buzzed the channel spokesperson for a confirmation on the same, but did not receive any response.
