This is shocking and appalling.

Tanushree Dutta’s claim of being sexually violated by Nana Pataker (a matter which is sub-judice), has led to many women, from across spectrum, open up and talk about cases of sexual misconduct against them.

Phantom Films dissolved owing to allegations against one of its founders Vikas Bahl. Web entertainment world too has been hit by multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, be it Tanmay Bhat, Khamba and many others.

I can remember more liquor being poured into my mouth and I remember being violated endlessly.
When I woke up the next afternoon, I was in pain. I hadn’t just been raped, I was taken to my own house and had been brutalised. I couldn’t get up for my bed.

Many are calling that India is finally seeing its #MeToo moment. Hence, it was only a matter of time before the Indian TV industry too had its cases come out in open.

Veteran creator Vinta Nanda took to social media and shared horrific story of she being raped by one of the actors, which she refrains from naming, from the hit 90’s serial Tara. The show used to air on Zee TV. Here is her story.

Well, we would like to state that Vinta must go ahead and file a police complaint. Now that she has shown the guts to speak out on the incident, she must name the person and set an example and seek justice legally.

This is undoubtedly TV’s moment of #MeToo and we hope that many ore find courage, speak up and put the perverts at their right place.
