Raghuvir Shekhawat, a credible name in the entertainment industry, which every writer surely adores.
The talented man has many hit shows in his kitty, like Balika Vadhu, Madhubala, Veera, Diya Aur Bati Hum, Tu Mera Hero, Bhabhiji Ghar Pe Hai, Na Aana Iss Desh…Laado, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi. He is currently weaving magic in Zee TV’s upcoming show Bhootu.
When we ask Raghuvir as a writer what is his take on Pehredaar Piya Ki, he shares, “It would be not right on my part to comment on somebody else’s work. But if you ask me personally, why only this show, there are many other serials which give message that are against the society but they enjoy controversy free airtime. I think everything should be left on viewers. Let them decide which show to watch and which not. Today’s audience is quite mature and they understand better.”
He continues, “When we say that there should not be censorship in movies then why on TV? It is because you can easily watch TV at your home. It is on you to decide which content to show your kids. I have worked with Shashi Sumeet Productions. Their sensibility is not that bad that they will show something wrong. I have not seen the show so will not comment on the content.”
He further adds, “Writing comes with a lot of responsibilities and knowing them I think they are not that irresponsible. I support and stand by them but because I have not seen the show I won’t be able to comment and tell how much responsible or irresponsible they have been with the content.”
