The festival of Maha Shivaratri is an auspicious tradition observed by the worshippers of Lord Shiva all over the world. Adding to the grandeur of the celebrations of Shivratri will be Sony TV’s Vighnaharta Ganesh. The show will witness the most awaited wedding season this time between Shiv (Played by Malkhan Siingh) and Parvati (Played by Akanksha Puri). On this special day the makers have decided to entertain the audience by presenting this special track on the show.

Talking about the upcoming sequence in the show, it will emphasize all the aspects of Mahashivrati and the mahajut of all the Gods and Goddess educating the audiences on the actual meaning of how marriages are made in heaven. Legend has it, that on this day Lord Shiva and Parvati were married. It’ is also considered as the night Lord Shiva performed the Tandava (dance). Devotees strongly believe that praying to Lord Shiva on this auspicious day washes away their sins and takes them closer to the path of salvation.

It is the night for the married women who fast for the well-being of their husbands and it is more special for the unmarried women who pray for an ideal companion alike Lord Shiva.

Talking about finding an ideal match Akanksha says, “Mahashivratri is one of the festivals I follow closely. Also, my family is a strong believer of Shiva and talking about that my mother wishes for me to a have life partner like him. I keep vrat and do the Pooja praying for my family. Don’t know if I would get a partner like Shiva or no but I definitely wish for one.”
