Sheeba Akashdeep recently made a comeback on Indian television with ‘Haasil’, where she plays the role of Sarika Raichand, on-screen mother of Zayed Khan (Ranvir Raichand) and Vatsal Sheth (Kabir Raichand).

Sarika Raichand is a very powerful personality, a businessperson who runs an empire. The first thing one notices about her is the power she exhibits; when she walks into the rooms she owns the room. The creative team deliberately has not given her a hook line, because it so cliché. The look and the character have taken a close inspiration from none other than educationist, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Nita Ambani.

Confirming this, Sheeba said, “The fact that Sarika Raichand is shown to be a mother and a business magnate, who is powerful and classy, we thought the closest inspiration to this role in terms of persona, character and power was Nita Ambani. She is graceful, classy, India’s eminent entrepreneur and one can sense the power in her personality. That is the kind of persona we wanted to create for Sarika hence I did use her as a reference for this role. The viewers are loving the character and I have been getting a lot of calls and messages from friends and fans.”

Tune in to ‘Haasil’ every Monday to Friday at 10.00 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television!
