It is every TV actor’s dream to make it to the big screen. However, only a few, like Sushant Singh Rajput and Surveen Chawla, have managed to hold their own in Tinsel Town.
Will cute Digangana Suryavanshi, last seen in Bigg Boss 9, and who will be a part of the Mahesh Bhatt-produced Jalebi, be able to buck this trend? Besides Digangana, this love story directed by Pushpdeep Bhardwaj, also stars Varun Mitra and Rhea Chakraborty.
Mahesh Bhatt recently tweeted to announce the star cast of his film…And it was pleasing to the eye to see TV’s very own Digangana making it big by getting into the Bhatt camp?

Digangana gained name and fame, courtesy the Star Plus show Ek Veer Ki Ardaas…Veera. Interestingly, she was more in the news back then, for her off-screen antics with co-star Farnaz Shetty.
As we know, Digangana began her acting journey as a child artist in Kya Haadsa Kya Haqeeqat and Shakuntala, before getting a good role in Qubool Hai, as Nuzrat.
Being part of Jalebi, Digangana has a tough path to follow, for most fellow TV actors have only done a film or two, which never really set the ticket windows on fire. TV heart throb, Karan Wahi’s Hate Story 4, which released recently, has also done only so-so business so far.
Just a while back, Gautam Rode and Abhinav Shukla’s Aksar 2 had also tanked at the Box Office.
After a huge Hate Story 3, Karan Singh Grover has not got any other release yet, due to various technical reasons.
Wonder why most small-screen stars seem to get only erotica films?
We also wonder how much of a scope will Digangana get in the movie…

We sure hope Digangana becomes a huge film star. TV has lots of talent, deserving big-screen presence.
