Ridhima Pandit set small screen ablaze with her quirky yet commanding robotic act in Life OK’s Bahu Humari Rajni_Kant.

In the pool of competition, she blossomed like a lotus, thanks to her grace and performing acumen.

As an actor, Ridhima is open to experimentation and opting for creative expansion, she has signed a web series soon to be launched on Voot, Viacom 18’s OTT platform.

TV is vast in its reach and digital has its own dedicated audience

Yet to be titled, the story has Shamita Shetty as the female protagonist paired opposite Aparshakti.

The makers have kept information about the story under wraps and the initial buzz is of it being a comic thriller.

Interesting…

Talking more about the association, Ridhima shared with Indianwikimedia: “I am playing Shamita’s sister in the series. I will have a grey shade and my role will set the plot in motion. We will soon begin shooting full-fledged.”

Talking about the audience bifurcation in the digital and TV space, the beauty with brains said: ‘”One cannot compare the two mediums.  TV is vast in its reach and digital has its own dedicated audience. For me, it’s about the experience as an actor. Having said that, in digital the commitment span is shorter. You shoot for some time and move on, unlike TV where it’s a more longish schedule.”

While TV medium has its notional limitations adhering to societal norms, digital is yet to experience the censorship blanket, allowing more freedom in storytelling, ranging from bold to blasphemy.

Given a chance, will Ridhima opt for a rather audacious part?

“Not for the heck of it. Web series hai to karliya aisa kuch nahin. If the story demands then I would give a thought. We will see when I face such a scenario.”

When not busy working,  Ridhima, a fitness freak, spends time sweating it out at her pilates classes.

Indianwikimedia wishes her a great year ahead.
