TikTok, the popular app for uploading short videos, was issued a temporary ban in India after the judiciary found that it was hosting content related to child pornography. Under the ban, the app was no more available for download from the official app stores of both Android and iOS devices.
On April 24, the Madras High Court revoked the interim ban after stating that it was only interested in preventing exposure of children to cybercrime.
