Everybody seems to be bitten by the digital bug. The latest entrant is TV actor Anuj Sachdeva (Sabki Laadli Bebo and Chhanchhan).
He has just started a bi- monthly chat show on Facebook called Access with Anuj.
“Our biggest USP is that unlike most online content which is negative and below the belt, we want to offer something motivational to the youth audiences. Hence all our guests like our premier episode celeb Raftaar are self made people. We want the youth to understand that hard work also pays, you don’t need to cut corners. It is sad that people have taken wrong advantage of the freedom of the net by spreading undesirable stuff, I want to turn the page,” says Anuj to Indianwikimedia.
The first season will have eight episodes of which three have already been caned, the name of the guests will be announced soon. “Our promos have got huge hits, I am sure our first episode which was aired few days back also get equal love and attention.”
Asking about promotions, Anuj who has also acted in a couple of hit Punjabi flicks , claims that he has not even asked anyone to share the link on their social media feeds .“I believe a good product eventually find its feet though word of mouth.”
Anuj, who plans to return to TV soon, is not taking this as an avenue only to make money. “Had that been the idea I could have contacted much more popular celebs but who are not self made but have dad’s money bags to support them on the way. For me the honesty of the concept is more important. One reason for tie up with Facebook is that you get creative freedom. I could have also given this concept to TV channels but again then we become prisoners to ratings whims.”
