Priya Banerjee is upbeat and ecstatic with the success of her recent web-series Bekaboo wherein she played a daring sensuous stalker.
The series that streams on ALTBalaji has Rajeev Siddhartha playing the erotic writer, who gets stalked by Priya’s character.
Says Priya, “Life has been treating me really well after Bekaboo. Life is great. People have loved what I have done and I am getting lot more work. The best part is that I am getting more serious and challenging roles.”
So does it mean that Priya has not been typecast into playing the daring avatars? “Not at all. I have not even got a single bold offer at Bekaboo. I have only got interesting stuff. I feel happy that people have noticed the actor in me. I am so glad that people have liked my performance and have watched it till the end. So I am getting fab stuff at the moment.”
On the kind of roles that she will want to do next, Priya states, “I am looking for bigger and challenging roles. I recently did Baarish, also for ALTBalaji. That was very different from what I played in Bekaboo. Marry Me, Stranger that Applause Entertainment series is also very different and you will get to see it when it streams. So I simply want to up my ante and keep doing stuff that pushes me to new heights of success. I am happy to be in this space where I can choose what I want to do.”
