Kushal Tandon, who gained stardom in shows like Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and Beyhadh, was recently linked to her co-star Ridhima Pandit.
Clearing the air, he says, “I get linked to every girl, I work or talk to. I have been linked to Ridhima Pandit, Karishma Sharma, everybody. If I put the pic of a wall, I might be dating it. In reality, hate the word dating. I like and love people. I like both the girls but there is no love. They are good friends. People feel comfortable around me, that is my personality. I can’t do anything about the rumours. Probably, I am prone to these rumours because I make girls comfortable. So, they like my nature, and we party together, then the dating rumours start.”
Kushal is all set to debut on the digital platform with ALTBalaji’s new family drama titled ‘Hum – I’m because of us’. Talking about the same, he shares, “It is an amazing series. Audience will enjoy this family drama. This is my debut on digital platform and I am glad to be chosen by ALTBalaji. I was the first choice and I am doing it so it makes me happy too. It was an amazing experience working for Ekta Kapoor. She is a gem of a person and an amazing lady. It always happens that people get intimidated by me but this is the first time I got intimidated by her.”
When we ask his take on increase of web entertainment content, he avers, “It is a very good evolution. The more the merrier. There are new opportunities for makers as well as for actors.”
So do you feel TV and movies as medium are losing prominence in the current media and entertainment industry? “I feel no one is losing ground. I believe every platform has its own audience. People choose the platform and enjoy. At the end, they are entertained, be it any platform.”
Kushal ends, “Scripts are the most essential part for me choose a project. I pick up a show which is challenging and also which spreads a message. If someone’s life changes for good through my character or show then I feel happy and satisfied.”
