Actor Karan Ashar enjoyed being part of Zoom Originals’ The Reunion which has been welcomed by an overwhelming response on the digital space.

Playing the happy-go-lucky Dastoor in the series came easily to Karan, as he is somewhat similar to his on-screen persona in real life too.

Karan who is a Mass Media student has earlier worked in the Gujarati movie, Happy Family Pvt. Ltd. and in the Viacom 18 Hindi film, Manjunath.

Says Karan, “I am at a very initial phase in my acting career, and there is a long road to traverse. I am looking for good opportunities in the field of ads, films and web-series.”

Talking about The Reunion, Karan avers, “It was a thoroughly great experience for me. This was in fact my first big role. We were like one big family, staying in Panchgani for more than 20 days. Just like my character, I provided the comic relief on the set too. And if you have seen the series, Dastoor is like a breath of fresh air, in between the high drama and interpersonal complications between friends.”

“With the series, I made friends for life. I was quite close and friendly with Anuj Sachdeva, Sapna Pabbi, Karan Sharma, Veer Rajwant Singh and Gagan Singh. I shared my room with Gagan and cracked lot of jokes with Sapna (smiles)”, he adds.

On thoughts about future he states, “I will like to do good work across mediums. However, TV will be my last priority. I will love to get busy with films, ads and web-series.”

Way to go, Karan!!
