Asha Negi, the talented and beautiful actress, is all set to weave magic again as a performer, and this time, it’s on the web.
Asha, who became a household name playing the lead role in Pavitra Rishta (Zee TV), has been signed to play an important role in ALTBalaji’s Baarish. She will share the screen space with actor Sharman Joshi.
Says Asha in a chat with IWMBuzz: “I am really excited for the series. We have done our job by making it and now we are excited for the audience’s response. The plot simplicity with a pinch of emotion is the USP of Baarish.”
Talking about the character, Asha says: “She is a marathi mulgi, she takes care of her family. She is grounded. Creatively I had more scope of performing as within 2-3 months you complete the shoot of the web series and then you can move on to a new project, which is not possible in TV.”
She continues: “After a while, playing the same role becomes monotonous. The script was given in advance, hence, I read it like a book and finished it in one night. I got time to prepare for the character.”
Asha further adds that her co star Sharman was great fun to shoot with.
“Sharman was a prankster on set. He looks innocent but he does lot of fun.”
