Surya Sharma, the new actor on the block is all set for his digital debut with the highly awaited thriller ‘Hostages’ by Applause Entertainment. This new talent from the house of Applause plays a crucial role in the series which is directed by Sudhir Mishra and stars a powerhouse of talented actors including Ronit Roy, Tisca Chopra, Parvin Dabas, Dalip Tahil amongst several others.

Describing acting as his first love Surya believes in perfection and was always aware of the fact that he wanted to work in films and any other medium where he can display his acting potential. Having closely worked with his mentor and director of the show Sudhir Mishra, Surya put in a lot of hard work and research for his role in ‘Hostages’.

Talking about his love for acting Surya says, “Since childhood gangster films have always been of interest to me. I have grown up watching a lot of Mr. Bachchan’s films like Sharabi, Sholay, Deewar, Zanjeer, Ajooba and many more. In the following few years I began to watch Hollywood films as well. That was the time when I watched Scarface and it changed my vision towards acting and cinema. You can only achieve this level of perfection by living in present and for an actor present is his character, not his or her life. Each of these films leaves an impact on you and that’s the beauty of it.”

The audiences are all geared up to binge watch this high scale drama series which is created by Applause Entertainment and produced by Banijay Asia. The show will stream from May 31 and will be available in multiple Indian languages on Hotstar.
