Talented actor Vipul Gupta, who recently enchanted audience in Vikram Bhatt’s web-series Zakhmi, says Loneranger Productions is an amazing production house to be working with.
He shares, “It is my third web-series with Loneranger. Maya was a different story and it was challenging too. Zakhmi also offers something really unique to the audience. It is a pleasure to work with Vikram Bhatt Sir and team. It’s like homecoming for me. Even my co-star Tia (Bajpai) and Ruslaan (Mumtaz) were very professional.”
Vipul feels web is a great medium. “Maaya has nearly 6 million views, we have received loads of love from the viewers. Initially, I never thought the platform is that big. Audience from the age group of 16 to 39 are glued to their phones and watching everything online. Web is the future. It’s like entertainment is in your hand. I personally feel the gap between TV and Bollywood has been filled by web. The platform allows creativity without any censorship issue. Although TV has immense reach, the new medium is enjoyed by the audience.”
He continues, “I believe a person can shoot a video on his phone and upload on YouTube and it goes viral and you are a star. The internet audience is very smart. They need engrossing drama which can hook them to the series. You can’t force or drag them to watch anything.”
On an ending note, he adds, “I am currently glued to Scared Games. I am really enjoying the drama.”
