The countdown has already begun and Sacred Games fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the series. Today, Netflix shared a new teaser which is intriguing.
The second edition has been directed by Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan. Neeraj has replaced Vikramaditya Motwane, who is continuing as the showrunner. In the teaser, series regulars Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who play Sartaj Singh and Ganesh Gaitonde respectively, were also shown. Pankaj Tripathi’s mysterious Guruji shows up at the end. The new season also stars Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey.
Sacred Games follows the quest of Mumbai Police officer Sartaj Singh to save Mumbai from a possible nuclear attack after being forewarned by gangster Ganesh Gaitonde. The first season of the series based on Vikram Chandra’s best-selling novel opened to rave reviews worldwide. The web series was appreciated for its gritty plot and power-packed performances.
