TVF Original series Kota Factory has managed to leave its mark on the hearts and minds of its audience with its relatable and endearing look at the lives of students preparing for IIT JEE in the coaching classes capital of India – Kota. Shot in Black & White, Kota Factory stars young actors Mayur More, Ranjan Raj, Ahsaas Channa and Jitendra Kumar in pivotal roles.

While the show beautifully depicts the bond Vaibhav (Mayur More) and Mena (Ranjan Raj) share as they cope with life in Kota, the actors have a rather interesting relationship off-screen too. Off camera, the duo Mayur and Ranjan are up to some of the other hilarious pranks on a daily basis. Creating a light atmosphere on the sets, the two are always shaking a leg to Bhojpuri songs that they sing together at the top of their lungs, with their unbelievable expressions adding a lot more fun.

Sharing more about these behind the scene fun moments, Mayur More added, “I share a really special bond with Ranjan as we have previously shot for a film as well for which we stayed together for more than a month. During that time, we would eat, sleep, dance and listen to old melodies together. He is one gem of a person who is extremely hard working, funny and what makes him so amazing is that he is very keen on learning different things. It’s extremely entertaining shooting with Ranjan as we are always up to some or the other fun task for the camera.”

Ranjan Raj, essaying the role of Mena said, “Mayur and I have an unbelievable connect as we have known each other for over two years now.  We have always been very casual with each other. I really look up to him and try learning from him as much as I can, whether it’s about the way he talks, his photography skills or the way he works. Whenever we are together, we really enjoy listening to A.R. Rahman’s tunes.”
