Ekta Kapoor’s web show, The Verdict – State Vs Nanavati is now streaming live and the audiences can’t stop admiring how perfectly the show has been made. The show is not only being praised for how well they have depicted the truth of the much spoken about Nanavati case but is also being applauded for how well the actors have performed.

In the lead, we see Elli AvrRam and Viraf Patel essaying the roles of Mrs. Sylvia Nanavati and Mr. Prem Ahuja respectively. The two are seen having an affair on-screen and thus, needed to share a certain kind of compatibility off-screen as there were scenes that required the two to get intimate with each other.

However, the twist in the story is that neither of the two had met prior to the show and nor did they have any sort of contact. Thus, director Shashant Shah decided to first break the ice between the two and hence, arranged for a secret meeting for both the actors. He had told them that the three of them would be meeting but last minute he backed out leaving the two on their own.

Fortunately, the plan worked and both the actors gelled pretty well with each other and soon became friends. It is this friendship of theirs that has given birth to such a beautiful chemistry on screen.

The Verdict features a stellar cast of Elli AvrRam, Angad Bedi, Manav Kaul, Sumeet Vyas, Kubbra Sait, Makarand Deshpande, Saurabh Shukla, Swanand Kirikire, Viraf Ashish Patel amongst others in important characters. The web series is based on true events and will be a 10-episode series.

Directed by Shashant Shah, the 10-episode series is based on the real-life incident of 1959 and follows the trial of naval officer KM Nanavati who shot three bullets from his revolver at a businessman and later confessed his crime to the police. Even after six decades the infamous story of K.M. Nanavati Vs. The state of Maharashtra is still one of the most sensational criminal cases in India and mark a landmark judgment in the history of India.
