Fish is of two types, one is grown up in a pond or lake which is sweet water, and another type is found in seawater which is salty. Both fish are preferred in India and fish lovers make varieties of fish dishes, including fry fish, fish curry and even fish tandoori. Normally delicious Indian fish curry is in an onion-tomato base. Fish curry is preferred by all as it is very easy to make. You can have fish curry with rice as well as roti. Here we look at how you can make your fish curry tastier. 

To make tasty fish curry you can follow the following steps.

* Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add cumin seed and onion. Saute till it becomes golden in color. 

* Add ginger-garlic and fry for some time and then add tomatoes and salt. 

* When the raw smell disappears add coconut, red chili powder, turmeric, and fennel seeds (optional) and fry it. Cool this masala and keep.

* Marinate fish with red chili powder, turmeric, salt, and ginger garlic paste and fry it properly, and set aside.

* Blend the mixture of masala kept aside to fine paste.

* Add oil and heat on a low flame, add curry leaves and green chilies. 

* Then add the ground paste, and water and mix well. Adjust the amount of water and salt required for a curry. 

* Cook the mixture of medium flame and adjust the taste of salt, spice, etc. Add tamarind juice as per your requirement. 

* Add fishes to the gravy and cook for a few minutes. Stir until it is cooked properly and curry becomes thick. Garnish it with coriander leaves. 

 

This way you can make fish curry tastier and this tastier curry can be consumed with rice or chapati.
