Lalisa Manobal (sometimes written Manoban) is a Thai rapper, singer, and dancer residing in South Korea. She was born Pranpriya Manobal on March 27, 1997. She is a member of YG Entertainment’s South Korean girl group Blackpink.

Lisa made her solo debut in September 2021 with the release of her single album Lalisa. In South Korea, the album sold over 736,000 copies in its first week, making her the first female musician to accomplish so. In the first 24 hours after its release, the music video for its lead song of the same name had 73.6 million views on YouTube, making it the most-viewed music video on the platform by a solo artist.

Lisa from BLACKPINK is noted for her talent, aesthetics, and pleasant demeanor, among other things. Lisa’s bangs are certainly her hallmark feature, despite her numerous accomplishments.

So, when and how did Lisa receive her signature dreadlocks? In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Lisa recounted the first time she trimmed her bangs.

Surprisingly, Lisa was adamant about not getting bangs at first! Her mother was the one who came up with the notion. Lisa declined her mother’s request since she didn’t want to hide her beautiful brow.

Lisa said:

My mother had suggested it. ‘Hey Lisa, let’s go get bangs,’ mum said before school started. ‘Bangs?’ I exclaimed. No! I enjoy the shape of my brow. I’m not going to talk about it.
