Kirti Kulhari has undoubtedly had a decent run at the box office with movies. The journey has been excellent for the actor and she has since then continued to go all guns blazing in her film choices. Movies like ‘Airlift’, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ and ‘Pink’ have established her as a leading actress with a great potential. And now, she is coming up with Mission Mangal, alongside a huge ensemble cast comprising of Akshay Kumar, Nithya Menon, Sharman Joshi, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan and Taapsee Pannu.

At the movie promotions, Kirti was recently asked whether she regrets not being a ‘solo lead’ in the movie, to which she explained her views on the same and was quoted as saying –

“I don’t understand what people say by lead role and not so lead role. I play a character and no actor is bigger than the movie itself. If my character is established well, what do people mean by whether I did a lead role or not? I have played eminent characters and I am happy that way. Next, I am working in The Girl On The Train with Parineeti Chopra, and there too, I am looking forward to my character. All are lead characters itself.”

Well, truly the concept of ‘lead star’ has changed and we agree with Kirti on this.

Here’s wishing her all the best for her future endeavors. For more such updates, stay tuned to IWMBuzz.com.
