Talented TV actor Monaz Mevawalla has made a big move in cinema. She will play an important role in Gujarati film Hun Mari Wife Ne Eno Husband, meaning, me, my wife and her husband.

The film stars Vatsal Sheth and Esha Kansara as leads.

The other cast besides Monaz includes Jayesh Thakur as her on screen husband, Johnny Lever and Vrajesh Hirjee.

This Dharmesh Mehta-helmed Paritosh Painter-produced regional flick is currently being shot entirely in England. The film will release on 29th November.

Vatsal, who began his acting career years back as a child actor in Just Mohabbat, has not found much big screen fame, despite doing several films. Last was a cameo in Salman Khan’s Jai Ho, back in 2014. He was also a part of Sony show Hasil, which again tanked.

Esha is also a known name in the Gujarati cine circuit, having already done 4 films. She has also been a part of Hindi TV, with her last show as My Name Ijj Lakhan, which did not last long on Sab TV.

Monaz took to Facebook to announce the news –

Monaz Mevawalla joins Vatsal Sheth and Esha Kansara in Gujarati film Hun Mari Wife Ne Eno Husband 759746

This daughter of well-known theatre artist Firdaus Mevawalla has been part of several shows such as Meet Milla De Rabba, Rishton Ki Dor and Mayavi Maling.

We spoke to Monaz, who said, “Specially it being my first film, I am very happy to be a part of such a wonderful cast with all established actors. Yes, I want to move to films, but that doesn’t mean that I am going to stop doing TV.”

Talking about her character, she says, “I am the neighbour’s wife, who poses as Vatsal’s better half (the main hero) upon his request. This movie is a comedy of errors and lots of confusion. Hence, I have a very nice and glamorous role. Yes, I am playing a Parsi girl, so I am a typical Parsi, complete with quirks.”

Monaz, we wish you all the best for your debut film.
